Tri-Toned Chunky Crochet Infinity Scarf Pattern
The crochet infinity scarf is a newbie crocheter’s dream pattern. It’s just slightly more challenging than a typical crochet scarf. The only difference is that it’s either crocheted in the round or seamed together at the end. This chunky crochet infinity scarf uses the latter option, seamed together.
This is an easy crochet pattern which is great if you’re just learning how to crochet. The pattern uses basic crochet stitches – just half double crochet and the treble crochet stitch (also known as the triple crochet stitch).
What is a Crochet Infinity Scarf and how is it made?
The crochet infinity scarf is worked in rows of color blocks using one color at a time. It’s made using bulky yarn with a large crochet hook so you can fly through this crochet project in no time at all – perhaps even in one evening if you motor through it.
This chunky crochet infinity scarf is versatile, soft, and squishy. And since it’s quick to make, it’s perfect to give as a handmade gift. Don’t like this color combo? Don’t worry, the color options are endless and can fit into anyone’s personal preferences and style.

- Tr-blo = treble crochet back loop only
FINISHED SIZE: 29” wide x 8” high when seamed together and laid flat
NOTES:
This pattern uses the Hdc-blo (Half double crochet – back loop only) stitch. It is made by yarning over once. Inserting your hook under the back loop of the “v” formation of the next stitch. Then yarning over again, and pulling through all three loops on your hook.
The Tr-blo (Treble crochet – back loop only) is also used and is made the same way as above but you start by yarning over twice instead of once, inserting your hook under the back loop of the “v” formation of the next stitch and then pull the yarn back through the loop. You should now see four loops of yarn on your hook. Catch the yarn. Draw the yarn through the first two loops on the hook. Bring the yarn over the crochet hook from back to front and draw through the next two loops on the hook. Again, bring the yarn over the crochet hook from back to front and draw through the last two loops on the hook.
